Job summary

UG2 is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to lead the engineering, concierge, and janitorial teams in a New York facility. You will oversee daily operations, safety, and maintenance programs to ensure reliable, cost-effective uptime of building systems.

The role emphasizes leadership, QA/QC, contractor coordination, staff development, and adherence to SOPs, with a focus on 100% uptime and value preservation for client assets.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school or related training.
• HVAC/mechanical and electrical aptitude with basic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of safety rules and regulatory compliance for building infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, boilers, pumps, and related equipment.
• Oversee inventory of tools and supplies; manage purchase orders and stock levels.
• Supervise contractors and staff across maintenance, concierge, and janitorial teams.
• Develop QA/QC processes; implement preventative maintenance programs.
• Lead safety training and ensure regulatory compliance across facilities.
