Job summary

JLL in Dallas seeks a Chief Engineer to lead the facilities engineering team, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation with 100% uptime through reliability-based maintenance. You will supervise engineers, manage contractors, and maintain compliance documentation for all infrastructure.

Ideal candidate has 7+ years in facilities with leadership experience, strong HVAC/electrical knowledge, and proficiency with CMMS and MS Office.

Qualifications

7+ years of facilities-related work experience with 5+ years in a leadership/managerial capacity.
Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance processes with understanding of construction planning and execution.
Exposure to HVAC, fluid handling/pumping, fluid filtering, mechanical systems, welding, and electrical systems engineering and operation.
Working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Office and CMMS systems with demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service.

Responsibilities

Monitor operation and maintain refrigeration, water cooling, air conditioning, boilers, heating, ventilation, pumps, valves and piping while overseeing HVAC PM programs.
Supervise and manage engineers and maintenance staff including hiring, training and development.
Ensure inventory levels by preparing purchase orders and sourcing materials; perform periodic checks.
Identify safety hazards and implement remediation; conduct safety training and ensure regulatory compliance.
Oversee contractor activities and CFWA process; maintain drawings and records.
