JLL is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to lead the engineering team and oversee maintenance for client facilities in Round Rock, TX. You will supervise staff, diagnose complex building systems, and ensure reliable operations across HVAC, electrical distribution, and life safety platforms.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, preventive maintenance planning, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet client expectations and industry standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on building engineering or facilities maintenance experience.
• EPA universal CFC certification required.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and electrical/mechanical specs.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise engineering staff and provide technical guidance on systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, and life safety systems.
• Inspect building systems for compliance and performance.
• Monitor building automation (BMS/EMS) and troubleshoot issues.
• Manage preventive maintenance via Corrigo CMMS and document work.
• Coordinate repairs with vendors and respond to on-site emergencies.
• Conduct daily rounds, record readings, and maintain logs.
