Job summary

NEKCA is seeking a Facilities and Project Manager to oversee all facilities, develop long-term maintenance plans, and support major project work and grant compliance. The role reports to the Director of Operations and coordinates with internal departments and community partners to ensure safety, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will lead a Facilities team, manage budgets, and negotiate vendor contracts.

Qualifications

• BA (preferred) or equivalent level of education.
• 2 years relevant experience required.
• 3+ years relevant experience preferred.
• Advanced training/certification in Building Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing Systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop a long-term plan for scheduling maintenance and repairs of all NEKCA facilities.
• Lead high-level project and grant management that relate to facilities.
• Supervise and prioritize work assignments for the Facilities team.
• Oversee contractors for major facility renovation or construction.
• Negotiate and manage all building leases.
• Attend the Safety Committee and ensure all safety responsibilities of the Facilities Department are met.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, health, and safety requirements.
• Assist Procurement Specialist/Contract Manager in preparation of procurement documentation required for solicitation of competitive proposals for required services negotiating and administering all vendor contracts.
• Prepare annual budgets for facilities, fixed assets, vehicles and equipment, and monitor inventory; request capital expenditures as needed.
• Fleet & Fixed Asset Management.
