Job summary

Los Angeles LGBT Center is hiring a Technical Manager to oversee facility operations, maintenance, and construction across multiple sites in the Los Angeles area. You will manage preventive maintenance, work orders (CMMS), and vendor relationships to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient facilities, while leading renovations and capital projects with budget and timeline oversight.

This 100% full-time, exempt role requires coordinating life-safety systems, regulatory compliance, and on-call

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in contractor management, property repair, and commercial building troubleshooting.
• Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple sites, vendors, and safety/compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repairs across multiple locations, including offices and clinics.
• Manage work order system (CMMS), ensuring timely response and documentation.
• Create preventive maintenance schedules and coordinate parts and repairs.
• Serve as project manager for renovations and capital improvements.
• Track budgets, timelines, and contractor deliverables.
• Monitor life safety systems, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors; respond to emergencies.
