Job summary

Friends LA is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, maintenance, and safety across all sites in Los Angeles. You will ensure spaces are functional, compliant, and welcoming for staff, youth, and families.

This full-time role reports to the Director of Operations and involves coordinating vendor relationships, preventive maintenance, and multi-site coordination, while driving safety and efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in facilities, property management, or related experience
• Experience managing vendors and contractors
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Experience across multiple sites preferred
• Familiarity with safety and compliance requirements
• Nonprofit, school, or community-based setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities operations across all sites ensuring safe, clean, functional environments
• Coordinate and respond to maintenance requests in a timely and organized manner
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules
• Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors
• Support multi-site coordination and partner site facilities teams
• Coordinate facility projects, timelines, and budgets
• Ensure safety, compliance, and risk management across locations
• Collaborate with program and operations leadership on priorities
