Job summary

Los Angeles LGBT Center is seeking a Property Repair professional in the Facilities Department. The role conducts routine and corrective building maintenance across several locations, handling carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general repair tasks to maintain safe environments.

The position uses a CMMS to manage work orders and coordinate with vendors and contractors on-site. Strong teamwork and safety awareness are essential in a busy healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• 3 years of property management experience.
• Experience with general building management, maintenance, and equipment repair.
• Ability to perform basic repairs using a variety of tools and adhere to safety procedures.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to handle a heavy workload in a busy healthcare setting.
• Proficiency with MS Office and ability to learn other programs.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prioritize, and complete daily facilities work orders across multiple locations using CMMS.
• Perform routine and corrective building and property maintenance to maintain safe, functional environments.
• Diagnose issues and complete hands-on repairs including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance.
• Coordinate and support vendors and contractors for on-site maintenance and repair work.
• Assist with evaluating and executing building repairs, equipment installation, and renovation projects.
• Provide facilities support for construction and remodel projects with Property Management.
• Perform inspections and maintenance of life safety and security systems to support regulatory compliance.
• Complete accident reporting and follow-up for OSHA, Workers’ Compensation, and internal systems.
• Support adherence to facilities policies, safety plans, and government regulations.
• Maintain building access systems, locks, keys, and related security hardware.
• Assist with investigation and documentation of theft, property damage, and security incidents.
• Organize and maintain facilities storage areas, tools, and equipment.
• Complete maintenance records and assist with facilities-related financial tracking and variance reporting.
• Participate in disaster preparedness activities, drills, training, and required meetings.
• Provide on-call coverage for scheduled and emergency facilities repairs.
