Job summary

Friends LA is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, maintenance, and safety across multiple sites in Los Angeles. The role ensures that facilities are functional, compliant, and supportive of staff, youth, and families.

The position is full-time with an annual salary range of $70,000–$85,000, commensurate with experience. The role reports to the Director of Operations and involves coordinating with partner sites to maintain high standards of safety and service.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of facilities, property management, or related experience.
• Experience managing vendors and contractors.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working across multiple sites or locations preferred.
• Familiarity with safety and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities operations across all sites to ensure safe, clean, functional environments.
• Coordinate and respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules.
• Manage relationships with external vendors (janitorial, HVAC, repairs, security, etc.) and monitor performance.
• Coordinate with partner sites and ensure standards across locations.
• Plan and track facility projects, upgrades, and timelines.
• Maintain records for inspections, permits, and facility compliance.
• Support emergency preparedness and risk management.
• Collaborate with program leadership to align priorities.
