Job summary

Fortuity is seeking a Facilities Planning and Operations Manager in Columbus, OH. This role oversees the operation, maintenance, safety and functionality of the organization’s buildings and grounds, coordinating maintenance, managing vendor relationships, and supporting a positive tenant experience. Salary range is $55,000-80,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Five years of related experience, preferably in a commercial building setting.
• Management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Certifications in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical and OSHA regulations strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee workflow of staff and vendors to ensure timely, quality project completion within budget.
• Develop and implement routine maintenance schedules and standards; ensure compliance.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments with corrective actions as needed.
• Oversee maintenance and repairs of building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting.
• Manage security and access control systems with security personnel/vendors as needed.
• Ensure buildings are clean, safe, and compliant with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Serve as primary contact for tenants on building-related concerns and requests.
• Develop and maintain emergency preparedness plans and procedures.
• Manage relationships with third‑party vendors and service providers.
• Monitor project progress and produce progress reports for leadership and stakeholders.
• Identify needs for furniture, equipment, and other goods; facilitate procurement.
