Job summary

Fortuity is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician in Columbus, OH. The role involves performing general maintenance across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and building systems under supervision. You will coordinate with tenants, manage repairs, and maintain records and inventories.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in building maintenance, HS diploma or GED, and relevant certifications. The position offers meaningful development, a stable full-time schedule, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or strongly preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in building maintenance or related field.
• Certifications in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical and OSHA regulations strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of facility, grounds, and building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with facility tenants to complete repairs and maintenance tasks as requested.
• Inspect and troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Assist with setting up and maintaining security systems.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, including ordering.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools.
• Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and best practices.
• Participate in required training, certifications, and ongoing development as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
