Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager to support day-to-day operations across a facility or campus. You will oversee janitorial, life-safety, engineering, site services and general maintenance in alignment with client directives.

You will also manage budgets, reports, and contracts, contribute to a five-year maintenance plan, and ensure compliance with insurance and contract terms while maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years relevant experience, preferably in commercial or industrial real estate with facility management experience required.
• Experience in maintenance, construction, engineering and all facets of property operation and building management preferred.
• CMMS/Work Order Management experience is preferred.
• Certified Facility Manager (CFM), IFMA, BOMA certifications recommended; other related training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure day-to-day operations of the facility/campus, including janitorial, life-safety, engineering, site services, and maintenance in line with policies.
• Supervise all maintenance programs relating to interior and exterior conditions and appearance of the properties.
• Respond promptly to requests for building maintenance and coordinate contract programs to address needs.
• Compile information for site documentation and reports (e.g., Property Information Book, Site Operating Manual, OSHA log, etc.).
• Prepare budgets, financial reports, contracts, expenditures, and purchase orders as directed.
• Assist in developing capital budgets and a five-year maintenance plan.
• Collect, analyze, and prepare reports to assess facility management objectives.
• Monitor vendor insurance and coordinate claims as required.
• Proactively inspect the facility and report findings to the Facility Manager.
