Job summary

WAC seeks a Facilities Manager to coordinate design, planning, construction, maintenance, and alterations of facilities and equipment, either personally or through subordinates. The role requires overseeing two or more staff and ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple sites, with travel up to 50%.

The candidate will plan budgets, develop long-range plans, and manage contracts, while coordinating space allocation, utilities, and safety programs to support efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 7+ years managing multi-site facilities.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Familiar with building codes and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to plan, budget, and schedule facility modifications.
• Effective communication and supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspects facility, space utilization, and multi-site facilities.
• Plans budgets, schedules modifications, and contracts.
• Develops long-range facility plans and capital outlay docs.
• Oversees space allocation, layout, and services coordination.
• Directs maintenance, custodial, and installation personnel.
• Reviews real estate contracts for compliance.
• Analyzes HVAC, plumbing, wiring, lighting, and power systems.
• Audits to support facility planning and RFPs.
• Liaises with public utilities, environmental, and energy agencies.
• Inspects construction progress for conformance.
• Assist in budgets, proposals, and performance metrics.
• Supervisory responsibilities over two+ employees.
