Job summary

Walker Hill Consulting, LLC seeks a hands-on Facilities & Operations Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety, appearance, and day-to-day readiness of multiple facilities in New Hampshire. You will manage preventive maintenance, coordinate vendors, and support site leadership to ensure buildings are safe, clean, and fully functional.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in facilities, building operations, maintenance, property management, construction, or related field.
• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems.
• Experience managing contractors and vendors.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond to urgent needs.
• Strong communication and follow-through.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between locations.
• Ability to meet required background screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day facilities and maintenance operations across multiple locations.
• Manage preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and facility improvement needs.
• Coordinate and supervise outside vendors, contractors, and service providers.
• Conduct routine facility inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Support licensing, safety, and compliance inspection requirements.
• Oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, security, lighting, and general building systems.
• Manage landscaping, snow removal, parking areas, walkways, play areas, and exterior property conditions.
• Ensure cleaning and facility standards are consistently maintained.
• Prioritize and track maintenance requests from site leadership and staff.
• Maintain facility records, service schedules, warranties, and vendor information.
• Support budgeting, purchasing, inventory, and repair-versus-replacement decisions.
• Respond to urgent facility or building-related issues as needed.
