Job summary

Crooked Tree Arts Center in Petoskey, MI seeks a Building Manager to oversee the maintenance, operations, and safety of our historic facilities and grounds.

The role includes coordinating contractors, leading emergency responses, managing space usage for programs and events, and ensuring compliance with codes and accessibility standards.

Evenings and weekends are required on occasion; typical hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, with flexibility as events require.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in building operations or related field.
• Minimum three years of facilities management experience in a commercial, cultural, or arts environment.
• Experience in managing historic buildings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation, maintenance, safety, and security of CTAC facilities and grounds.
• Coordinate and oversee contracted cleaning service and ensure cleanliness and presentation of facilities.
• Perform regular inspections of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) and ensure timely repairs.
