Job summary

Crooked Tree Arts Center (CTAC) in Petoskey seeks a Building Manager to oversee facilities, safety, and operations. The role focuses on maintaining buildings, coordinating maintenance, and supporting events and programs across CTAC spaces.

The position requires experience in facilities management, budgeting, and vendor relations, with some evenings/weekends required. The CTAC team collaborates across departments to ensure welcoming spaces for exhibitions, classes, and community events.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in building operations, maintenance, or a similar role.
• Minimum of three years of facilities management, maintenance, or operations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation, maintenance, safety, and security of CTAC facilities and grounds.
• Manage contracted cleaning service and ensure cleanliness and presentation of all facilities.
• Perform regular inspections of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, safety systems).
• Coordinate and manage preventive maintenance for all buildings and equipment.
• Lead renovation projects and capital improvements as needed.
• Maintain exterior grounds, landscaping, and accessibility.
