Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a Maintenance Manager to oversee the general maintenance of facilities, boiler plant, fire alarm systems, grounds, painting, and related labor tasks.

The role focuses on developing procedures, budgeting, and ensuring regulatory compliance with DOH and Joint Commission while leading maintenance staff to meet safety and quality standards across a hospital network.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of prior maintenance/related experience.
• 3 years of leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or professional certification in a craft; healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and oversee plant operating, maintenance and repair procedures based on industry standards and code requirements.
• Set priorities in assignments including training.
• Ensure 24/7 scheduling of plant operations staff to ensure proper operation of facilities and grounds.
• Assist in preparing, monitoring, and controlling the annual operating budget and reducing costs.
• Assist in development of the departmental capital budget for the fiscal year.
• Prepare reports on completed tasks and safety; participate in process improvement initiatives.
