Job summary

Allegheny Health Network in Monroeville is seeking a skilled maintenance professional to oversee mechanical repairs across the hospital, including electrical and plumbing systems, and supervise Mechanics and Painter trades.

The role focuses on responsive repairs, ongoing preventive maintenance, and collaboration with outside contractors to ensure compliance with DOH, Joint Commission, and ICRA requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of mechanical experience including burning and welding.
• Training in plumbing, HVAC and electrical competency.
• Basic knowledge of a wide range of mechanical equipment.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Performs equipment fabrication and repairs including wheelchairs and beds.
• Maintains hospital plumbing systems (hot/cold water and sanitary).
• Supervises daily tasks of Mechanics and oversees preventive maintenance.
• Responds to service and emergency calls for maintenance, electrical or plumbing issues.
• Coordinates with outside contractors to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Adheres to DOH, Joint Commission and ICRA requirements.
• Maintains locks and door hardware.
