Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform mechanical repairs, electrical work, and plumbing tasks across the hospital, ensuring safe, reliable operations. You will fabricate equipment and install updates, respond to service and emergency calls, maintain locks and doors, and apply DOH, Joint Commission, and ICRA standards to protect patients and staff.

This full-time role requires basic knowledge of a wide range of equipment and preferred training in

Qualifications

• Minimum: High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have a basic working knowledge of a wide range of mechanical equipment.
• Preferred: Stationary Engineering training; plumbing, HVAC, and/or electrical training; Refrigeration Type I and II certifications.

Responsibilities

• Performs equipment and materials fabrication including miscellaneous installations and repairs (including repairs to wheelchairs and beds); updates and repairs hospital plumbing systems, electrical repairs, light carpentry and other trades.
• Responds to service and emergency calls regarding any maintenance repair, electrical or plumbing problem.
• Maintains locks and keys and door related apparatus.
• Must demonstrate personal accountability for knowledge and application of DOH, Joint Commission and ICRA requirements.
