Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a dedicated facilities technician to monitor and maintain hospital utilities, boilers, HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems. You will supervise equipment status, perform preventive maintenance and conduct repairs in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Responsibilities include coordinating with nursing and management, documenting operations and responding to emergencies after hours when needed. Valid PA driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a physical plant with gas-fired boilers.
• Knowledge of maintenance of plumbing, electrical and mechanical equipment required.
• Skilled with hand tools, meters and instruments of the trade.

Responsibilities

• Monitor status of utilities and equipment in boiler room and plant.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on facility equipment.
• Perform mechanical, plumbing, HVAC and electrical repairs.
• Communicate with nursing staff and admin about status of utilities.
• Document daily operations and repairs.
