Job summary

Tarrant County is seeking a Facilities Operations Supervisor to oversee building operations and lead six or more staff, including technicians and custodians. You will apply HVAC, plumbing, electrical and computer skills to keep buildings running smoothly and to monitor expenditures.

The role requires an Associate degree, at least four years in building operations with three years in management, literacy with Windows, spreadsheets and word processing, and a TX driver's license.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Directs technicians and custodial staff on regular duties and special projects.
• Prioritizes and assigns work to all employees to provide proper service to all building occupants.
• Works with vendors and contractors, overseeing the work and ensuring that it is performed properly.
• Inputs all requisitions and receipts for materials and services received into computer.
• Oversees the operating budget and controls expenses within the assigned budget.
• Makes recommendations for capital budget and proves cost estimates.
• Trains employees on the proper safety and operation of building systems.
• Visits with all building occupants to ensure that their needs are met and gets their suggestions on any recommended improvements.
• Performs all other related duties involved in the operation of Facilities Management as assigned or required.
