Job summary

CBRE is seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager in New York to lead a team responsible for overseeing building operations and maintenance across a facility, campus, or portfolio of small to medium buildings.

You will support a facilities management function, assist in repairs and capital plans, and ensure safety and compliance while delivering excellent client service and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Facility Management certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide formal supervision to employees, monitor training and development, conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
• Schedule and manage the team's daily activities; establish work schedules and cross-train staff.
• Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
• Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
• Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
• Perform facility inspections and ensure compliance with regulations; suggest operational improvements.
• Oversee environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
• Oversee vendor relationships and invoicing; review quotes for parts, services, and labor.
