Job summary

NYC Department of Finance is looking for a Facilities Operations Officer within the Administration and Planning Division. The role supports the Executive Director of Facilities and Operational Support Services, coordinating facilities operations, contracts, budget oversight and vendor management to ensure cost‑effective, compliant operations.

Responsibilities include overseeing daily activities, developing budgets, preparing reports, and guiding staff.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with two years of related experience or
• Bachelor’s degree with four years relevant experience or
• Associate degree with six years of experience or
• High school diploma with eight years of experience or
• Combination of education and experience as described in the minimum qualifications

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate day-to-day administrative, financial and operational activities.
• Manage and oversee unit operating budget including forecasting and financial analyses.
• Liaise with vendors, contractors and service providers.
• Oversee contract administration, procurement, and invoicing to ensure compliance.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables; track progress.
