The NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene is seeking an Administrative Supervisor of Building Maintenance (10035). This citywide role reports to the Regional Manager and will supervise up to 10 custodial staff and two clerical staff, with coverage across District Operations units.

The incumbent will lead administrative and operational activities for multiple facilities, coordinate with vendors, ensure code compliance, and oversee capital renovations to support public health services across

Qualifications

• Eight years of full-time building construction, repair, alteration and/or rehabilitation supervision experience; at least 18 months in supervisory/admin role
• Education and/or experience equivalent to the above; degree in engineering, architecture, or related field with supervisory experience

Responsabilités

• Oversee and facilitate administrative and operational activities of assigned facilities
• Coordinate, manage, direct, and evaluate District Health facilities' non-medical operations including equipment, cleaning, and security
• Evaluate maintenance needs and monitor performance of custodial/maintenance functions
• Liaise with vendors/contractors for capital and non-capital renovations in assigned facilities
• Provide leadership in facility management, code compliance, and capital project management
• Conduct regular inspections and ensure service requests are followed up and resolved
