Job summary

Arizona State University’s School of Life Sciences in Tempe is seeking a Manager, Facilities Operations to lead day-to-day facilities across laboratories, classrooms, and offices. You will supervise staff, coordinate preventive maintenance, and work with faculty, researchers, and vendors to ensure safe, reliable operations that support teaching and research.

You will develop budgets, plans, and schedules, translate scientific needs into actionable projects, and drive infrastructure improvements

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience, with supervisory experience.
• Experience managing facilities operations in complex scientific environments is preferred.
• Ability to translate scientific needs into feasible facilities projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day facilities operations across laboratories, classrooms, offices, and specialized spaces.
• Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate facilities staff; set priorities and coverage.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and manage expenditures, contracts, vendors, and service agreements.
