Job summary

Arizona State University is seeking a highly motivated Laboratory Manager to oversee day-to-day lab operations and support neuroscience research in the Keiser Lab. The role involves budget oversight, staff supervision, and ensuring safety and compliance with institutional guidelines.

The position focuses on mouse models, molecular biology approaches, and behavioral neuroscience techniques, with opportunities to contribute to manuscript preparation and project planning. Campus Tempe location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent.
• Willingness to work with mice and perform basic husbandry.
• Experience with IACUC and EHS compliance.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic lab.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations and inventory.
• Maintain mouse colony, breeding coordination, genotyping logistics.
• Ensure compliance with IACUC, EHS, and institutional policies.
• Assist in protocol development and documentation.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and liaise with vendors.
• Train lab members in standard procedures and animal handling.
• Support molecular biology and wet lab experiments.
• Assist with behavioral neuroscience experiments and data collection.
• Maintain accurate records of experiments and colony management.
• Foster collaborative lab environment and contribute to planning.
