Job summary

Arizona Department of Health Services seeks a Physical Plant Supervisor 2 to maintain the State Laboratory's HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems at 250 N. 17th Ave., Phoenix. You will supervise two Laboratory Maintenance Technicians and ensure inspections and maintenance are documented.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electronic circuitry and test equipment.
• Understanding of HVAC-related electrical/plumbing codes.
• Familiarity with Building Automation Systems and related controls.
• Experience with process controls, PM, CQI and Lean methodologies.
• Knowledge of safety standards (OSHA).
• Ability to read reports and use plant software such as SCADA or CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Operate building and energy management systems for the State Laboratory.
• Supervise two Laboratory Maintenance Technicians.
• Assist with repairs, inspections, and inventory as directed.
• Support a diverse workforce and maintain inclusive environment.
• Plan, direct daily operations for preventive and corrective maintenance of MPE systems.
• Monitor AHDS Laboratory building with Building Management Controls System.
• Perform preventive maintenance and supervise staff to maintain equipment.
• Troubleshoot, test, calibrate equipment and ensure security systems.
