Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is seeking an Operating Engineer in Cambridge, MA. You will operate and maintain building systems, troubleshoot BAS-driven issues, and coordinate with contractors to ensure safety and compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1+ years in facilities, and strong knowledge of BAS/CMMS. Schedule is Mon-Fri 10a-6p with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of facility-related work experience.
• Customer service experience and leadership or supervisory experience.
• Extensive knowledge of BAS and CMMS.
• Ability to read manuals, specs, and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life-safety systems.
• Respond to alarms and implement corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and BAS-driven issues.
• Perform maintenance on steam systems, humidifiers, and traps.
• Maintain logs, use CMMS for planning and documentation.
• Escort contractors and respond to facility emergencies.
• Support reliability-centered maintenance practices.
