Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) seeks an experienced Operating Engineer to maintain and monitor critical building systems in Everett, WA. You will work under the Engineering Manager to ensure uptime and compliance with SLAs across fire/life safety, mechanical, electrical, and hot water systems.

Key duties include monitoring readings, analyzing operations, overseeing contractors, and maintaining detailed logs. A strong background in facilities operations and BAS familiarity is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or technical training/degree.
• 3+ years in facilities operations, maintenance, and engineering.
• Electrical license 01, 07, or 06A preferred.
• Knowledge of critical environments, HVAC and infrastructure.
• Proficiency with MS Office and basic computer tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration).
• Record readings and adjust systems for proper operation.
• Analyze operations to identify/prevent malfunctions and take corrective actions.
• Oversee contractor activities and ensure clear guidance on critical functions.
• Maintain engineering logs, data sheets, and building rounds records.
• Implement emergency escalation procedures and follow engineering guidelines.
• Assist in developing complex procedures and protocols.
