Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Facilities Operations Manager for a life sciences client in Cambridge, MA. You will lead a team of professionals to maintain a compliant, high-performing facility with 24/7 operations and pharmaceutical-grade standards.

The role requires deep knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, BAS, and laboratory support, plus experience with regulatory compliance and capital projects. Strong vendor management and budgeting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years progressive facilities management, including 3+ years in life sciences/pharma/biotech.
• Knowledge of FDA regulations, GMP, cleanroom standards.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical distribution, emergency power, lab utilities.
• Experience leading capital projects and facility modifications.
• Strong budgeting skills to optimize costs while maintaining service.

Responsibilities

• Lead facilities operations team including technicians, engineers, and vendors.
• Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, BAS, and lab support equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, EPA, OSHA, MWRA and life sciences regs.
• Develop preventive/predictive maintenance leveraging data analytics and AI tools.
• Manage vendor contracts, SLAs, and KPI performance.
• Oversee capital improvement projects with minimal disruption.
• Respond to emergencies and perform root cause analyses.
• Prepare and manage operating budgets with cost optimization.
• Act as primary liaison with client leadership on performance and projects.
