Nelnet, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Supervisor to oversee daily operations and maintenance of the workplace, ensuring a safe, organized, and professional environment. You will supervise a team, respond to inquiries, and coordinate with vendors to address facility needs across Nelnet properties.

The role emphasizes strong communication, organizational skills, and collaboration with internal teams. A 4-year degree is preferred and prior supervisory experience in facilities is valued.

Qualifications

• 4 year college degree preferred.
• 2+ years supervisory or leadership experience.
• 1+ years of experience in facilities or maintenance.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Supervising and working alongside team members to complete projects and tasks.
• Managing the day-to-day operations and overall maintenance of the facilities.
• Respond to associate, vendors, or visitor inquiries in person, via email, and/or the internal ticketing program.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify and address facility needs.
• Communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization, industry, and community.
• Interact with building vendors and teams to oversee the upkeep and maintenance of the facility.
• Coordinate move requests and space planning.
• Ensure the office workspace remains clean, organized, professional, and safe for all.
• Order and maintain products or services.
• Both consumable and non-consumable.
• Assist in ensuring breakrooms and office spaces are stocked and clean.
• Assist with the preparation for company functions and social events.
• Complete miscellaneous tasks and projects as assigned to support Nelnet.
