Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking an Operating Engineer in California to perform preventive maintenance, repair, alteration, and modification of hospital facilities and equipment.

Under supervision, you will inspect and service boilers, HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, and related machinery, maintain records, and coordinate with the Chief Engineer for complex issues. Requires to read blueprints and operate building automation systems.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical background in Plant Operations, HVAC, electrical or plumbing.
• EPA Refrigeration License 608 or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• 3–5 years of building operations and maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment and facilities and document malfunctions.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on boilers, HVAC, plumbing.
• Test and adjust controls, sensors and safety devices.
• Maintain maintenance records and coordinate with Chief Engineer.
