Job summary

cw is seeking an Operating Engineer to oversee the efficient operation and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems across assigned properties. You will conduct routine rounds, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs while keeping a clean and safe work environment.

The role requires 3+ years of related experience in commercial properties, a high school diploma or GED, and familiarity with CMMS/BMS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; apprentice or trade school preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property.
• Knowledge of CMMS, BMS, and energy management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure efficient facility performance.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and routine facility walkthroughs.
• Coordinate contractor activities and verify work quality and compliance.
• Maintain building management systems (BMS) and optimize equipment performance.
• Respond to system alarms, equipment failures, and emergencies.
