Job summary

The University of Utah is seeking a Facilities Management leader to direct the operation and maintenance of campus facilities. You will supervise MEP staff, oversee budgets and contracts, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements to support research and teaching activities.

Responsibilities include coordinating preventive maintenance, managing vendor relationships, and guiding capital planning while maintaining high service levels and reliability of critical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in facilities management including supervision, budgeting, and project coordination.
• Experience with building automation systems and CMMS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and operation of research, laboratory, and support facilities, including MEP, HVAC, and BAS.
• Manage budgets, vendor contracts, preventive maintenance programs, and service levels.
• Coordinate and lead daily team activities; liaison with stakeholders and safety/compliance teams.
