Job summary

University of Utah on the Salt Lake City campus seeks a Supervisor, Janitorial Services to direct a housekeeping team, enforce standards, assign duties, and ensure clean, safe premises. You will conduct inspections, manage materials, and resolve escalated issues to maintain high quality service.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with 2 years related experience or a master’s degree, plus custodial background and physical ability to lift 50 lbs and climb six feet.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus 2 years related work experience, or a master’s degree or equivalent.
• Two years custodial experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb at least six feet; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Determine proper distribution of employees and materials by inspecting buildings to ensure adequate cleaning.
• Supervise one to five full-time and 5–20 part-time custodians, in one or two shifts.
• Assist in training new crew members on equipment and chemical usage.
