Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance and housekeeping for a community association. You will monitor building systems, identify issues, and coordinate repairs following company procedures.

The role includes leading staff, planning work, and ensuring safety and cleanliness across all common areas. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, 3–5 years in building trades, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training is a plus.
• HVAC or similar training or certification may be required.
• 3–5 years in building trades, repair or maintenance work.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills and basic budgeting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely maintenance and housekeeping across facilities.
• Lead and train maintenance staff and assign work orders.
• Plan, monitor, and evaluate repair tasks; maintain logs.
• Maintain mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Oversee safety, security, and cleanliness of the property.
• Coordinate with contractors and manage service providers.
