Role Profile

Position Summary

The Facilities Manager role reports directly to the Director of DC and Facilities. This is an exempt role with key accountabilities including Leadership Management Accountability, Operations and Maintenance for the Parking Garage, Distribution Center (DC), and Main Store, Safety and Compliance, Project Management, and Vendor Management. Key Accountabilities & Achievements:
Leadership, Management, and Accountability (LMA):
  • Empower team members to take responsibility for their roles and goals, delegate responsibilities, and provide regular feedback.
  • Manage all aspects of employment lifecycle including hiring, onboarding, coaching, training, performance management, and engagement.
Operations and Maintenance Management:
  • Oversee daily operations of facilities ensuring systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) are functioning properly.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs, develop preventive schedules, and handle adjustments.
Health and Safety Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct safety inspections and audits, and implement emergency response plans.
Project Management:
  • Implement facility management strategies, ensure timely project completion, and manage budgets.
  • Supervise staff and contractors, fostering collaboration and clear communication.
Vendor Management:
  • Manage external service provider relationships, monitor performance, and resolve issues.
Knowledge, Abilities & Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
  • Experience with HVAC and plumbing systems.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and negotiation skills.
  • Effective leadership and communication abilities.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, move about, and ascend/descend stairs, ramps, ladders.
  • Repetitive movements of wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Visual acuity at various distances and color differentiation.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, work closely with others, and respond to emergencies.
Work Environment:
  • Occasional evening or weekend work for emergencies or projects.
  • Ability to inspect facilities and oversee maintenance.
  • Moderate noise levels typical of office and warehouse settings.
  • Preparedness to respond to emergencies outside regular hours.
