Position Title: FACILITIES MANAGER

Reports To: Business Services Manager / Unit Director

Salary: $50,000 - $53,000

Pay Grade: 6

Job Summary

The Facilities Manager supports the Business Services Manager / Unit Director in delivering excellent customer service to our corporate client.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage in-house or third-party soft service providers (janitorial, landscaping, snow removal, trash & recycling, waste management, pest control, mail/shipping).
2. Oversee the team providing mail/shipping and audio-visual support.
3. Develop and maintain strong client relationships.

Additional Responsibilities

• Manage the soft service budget and provide financial reports.
• Assist in vendor contract development and procurement.
• Handle requisitions, POs, and invoice receipt.
• Resolve issues professionally with a customer-focused approach.
• Collaborate with the site Facility Manager and assist in planning team goals.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Solid understanding of facilities management including janitorial, mail, S&R, landscaping, pest control, waste management, and vendor service delivery.
• Minimum 5 years of soft services industry experience.
• Strong management and organizational skills.
• Calm, courteous handling of stressful situations.
• Client relations and customer service orientation.
• Leadership in staffing, recruiting, and staff development.
• Planning, organization, and system skills.
• Proficiency in IT tools: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MS Teams.
