Job Summary

The Facilities Manager will provide support to the Business Services Manager / Unit Director to provide excellent customer service to our corporate client.

Key Responsibilities

+ Directly manage in-house or 3rd party soft service providers including but not limited to janitorial, landscaping, snow removal, trash & recycling, waste management, pest control, and mail/shipping.

+ Directly manage the team that provides mail/shipping and audio-visual support.

+ Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with our Client.

Responsibilities

+ Responsible for the Client soft service budget. Provide financial reporting as required.

+ Assist in vendor contract development and procure goods and services through Compass and Client systems.

+ Manage requisitions and POs and receipt invoices upon delivery or completion of work.

+ Act collaboratively to solve problems and resolve spontaneous and unique situations with professionalism and customer service focus.

+ Work closely with the site Facility Manager on day-to-day operations and assist the Unit Director in planning the facilities team’s goals and objectives.

Qualifications

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Solid understanding of facilities management to include janitorial, mail, S&R, landscaping/snow removal, pest control, waste management, vendor management service delivery while managing demanding clientele

+ Minimum of 5 years soft services industry experience

+ Strong management and organizational skills

+ Ability to manage stressful situations in a calm, courteous, and efficient manner

+ Client Relations and Customer Service Oriented

+ Team leadership Abilities; Staffing Recruiting, Development and Relations

+ Planning, Organization & System Know-how

+ Strong IT Skills - Excel, Powerpoint, Word, MS Teams
