Job Title

Facilities Manager

Job Description Summary

Ensure the day-to-day operations of the facility(ies) or campus, including custodial, life-safety, engineering, site services, and general maintenance, are implemented and carried out in a manner consistent with C&W policies and client directives.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the daily operations of the facilities or campus are maintained according to policies and client directives.
  2. Manage contracts, review them regularly, and verify invoice accuracy.
  3. Supervise maintenance programs for interior and exterior conditions and appearance.
  4. Respond promptly to tenant and occupant requests, and oversee ongoing contract programs to meet their needs.
  5. Complete site-specific documentation and reports accurately and timely.
  6. Prepare, review, and approve budgets, financial reports, contracts, and expenditures.
  7. Coordinate annual budgets, reforecasts, and business plans.
  8. Assist in developing capital budgets and long-term maintenance and improvement plans.
  9. Analyze and report on facility management data.
  10. Hire, train, motivate staff, and conduct performance evaluations.
  11. Ensure compliance with management contracts and insurance requirements.

Education and Experience

Required: Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Real Estate, Project Management, or Business Administration; 5-7 years of relevant experience in high-rise, campus, or property management; experience in leasing, construction, engineering, and building operations preferred; familiarity with critical systems and cost reduction programs preferred; CMMS experience preferred.

Additional Qualifications

Certifications such as CFM, IFMA, BOMA recommended; ability to read blueprints; understanding of management agreements; proficiency in Microsoft Office; financial management skills; knowledge of financial systems like Yardi; experience with Building Management Systems.

Work Environment

Office setting with travel up to 75% between properties, often in varying weather conditions.

Physical Demands

Must communicate effectively and exchange information regularly.

Benefits and Compensation
