Job summary

ISS Facility Services / Guckenheimer is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Virginia. The role involves performing preventative and reactive maintenance to building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks.

You will work with a team to ensure safe, reliable facilities for clients, customers, and staff and may respond to escalations as the on-site contact. The position is full-time with a standard Mon–Fri schedule and potential weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or vocational or trade school/college required.
• Basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC skills including knowledge of the corresponding tools.
• Communication skills to translate basic technical information to those with and without a technical background.
• Work independently and as part of a team, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Self-Performance of Primary Preventative and Reactive Maintenance work orders.
• Patch/painting of walls and door/lock repairs (basic).
• Install and mount building fixtures (TVs, signs, etc.).
• Minor plumbing repairs and safety inspections.
• Operate CMMS system for work orders and recordkeeping.
• Respond to escalations as on-site point of contact during on-call periods.
