Job summary

ISS/Guckenheimer is seeking an Engineer I to perform routine maintenance and repairs on building equipment. You will respond to service requests, complete work orders, and ensure facilities stay safe, clean, and operational under general supervision.

The role requires basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, plus the ability to read blueprints and manuals. Strong customer service and a willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of commercial building maintenance preferred.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and equipment manuals.
• Able to learn building systems and maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment and systems.
• Maintain clean and safe mechanical rooms and work areas.
• Update maintenance records in the CMMS.
