As an Engineering Tech, you will uphold high standards of service, safety, and quality. You will manage guest services and housekeeping teams, ensuring safety and guest satisfaction by meeting and exceeding service standards, maintaining quality, and completing departmental objectives efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Follow safety and emergency guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Greet customers promptly with friendliness and sincerity, listen to requests, respond appropriately, and provide accurate information about outlets, VIP programs, and events.
- Perform general repairs including carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, painting, refrigeration, electrical, video, and kitchen systems as assigned.
- Adhere to work schedules to ensure proper coverage.
- Complete tasks based on facility priorities and participate in cross-training.
- Attend meetings to communicate work schedules and issues.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Communicate repair statuses effectively with team and departments.
- Prioritize safety for employees, guests, and vendors.
- Participate in safety meetings and support safety initiatives.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and diagnose problems.
- Support the Deep Clean Projects and the Perfect Room Program with Housekeeping.
- Respond promptly to inquiries via phone and email, assisting guests with requests and special needs.
- Promote hotel services and local attractions to enhance guest experience.
- Complete shift reports and maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
- Implement best practices and maintain a clean, organized workstation.
- Assist in other departments as needed and be on call when assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum one year of experience in building maintenance.
- Skills in diagnosing and repairing HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, video, and kitchen systems.
- Certification or working knowledge in HVAC, refrigeration, or electrical is preferred.
- Proficiency with tools and diagnostic procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and staff.
- Flexibility to work all shifts, including overtime if necessary.
- Proven problem-solving skills and understanding of hotel operations.
- Effective reading, writing, and speaking skills in English.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and manage time efficiently.
