Specific Job Details

Brief Job Duties

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:

• Maintain the physical school plant in operating excellence, ensuring safe conditions and adherence to building codes, with a focus on carpentry issues and projects.
• Regularly examine district-owned facilities for preventive maintenance and safety issues.
• Capable of lifting at least 75 pounds, climbing ladders, doing snow removal, and performing various physical tasks.
• May need to fill in for custodial personnel as necessary.

Certification/License

• Criminal History Record Check (CHRC), including fingerprints on file with the Maine Department of Education.
• Valid State of Maine Driver's License; Class B preferred but not required.

Experience

• 7-10 years of successful full-time general trade experience (electrical, carpentry, plumbing, landscaping, painting, etc.) preferred.
• Trade licenses are desirable.

• Located along the Atlantic coastline with miles of beaches.
