Job summary

EMCOR Facilities Services, Inc. in Lexington, NC, is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on commercial and industrial equipment.

You will work safely, communicate clearly, and follow a flow-to-work approach. Responsibilities include troubleshooting HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems; conducting rounds; ordering parts; and using CMMS to document results.

Qualifications

• High School diploma (or equivalent) required; preference for some undergraduate business or trade school training.
• 4 years’ experience and/or training in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry skills.
• Valid driver’s license; Forklift and JLG operator’s licenses are required.

Responsibilities

• Abides by safety guidelines including OSHA regulations and lock-out/tag-out.
• Conducts shift rounds to identify issues and document performance.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC, fire life safety, plumbing, electrical systems, and related equipment.
• Operate and maintain electrical controls, lighting, and distribution systems.
• Communicate with coworkers and customers and provide status updates and completion dates.
• May manage maintenance projects and coordinate with Sub-Contractors.
