Facilities Maintenance Technician II 2nd Shift

The facilities maintenance technician position is responsible for performing diversified duties to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant buildings and utility equipment to support the site’s business goals.

Essential Functions

1. Perform maintenance on plant buildings and utility equipment, including repairs to doors, windows, drywall, flooring, piping, plumbing, and electrical systems.
2. Utilize mechanic skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, and carpentry tasks.
3. Operate hand and power tools, electric meters, and soldering equipment.
4. Troubleshoot and repair utility equipment such as HVAC systems, boilers, condensate pumps, air compressors, cooling towers, and chillers.
5. Interpret equipment manuals and electrical schematics.
6. Use SAP CMMS for work order management and documentation.
7. Diagnose issues, replace faulty parts, and adjust settings on HVAC and utility systems; perform preventive maintenance, e.g., filter replacements.
8. Report deficiencies to supervision.
9. Maintain safety standards and clean work areas.
10. Use forklifts and scissor lifts for maintenance tasks.
11. Lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
12. Coordinate with outside contractors for repairs.
13. Be available outside regular hours for occasional weekend work.
