The primary role of the Maintenance Technician is to provide maintenance support to our plant operations to enable us to meet our quality standards and safety codes and ensure we are executing our maintenance programs. The Technician must identify, troubleshoot, and repair problems (mechanical, electrical, etc.), run tests, isolate problems, remove/replace failed components, determine failure modes by studying worn components, and perform other tasks as required. What You’ll Do for Us
- Perform skilled maintenance and repair of facility or production plant systems such as mechanical, electrical, and building or production line systems.
- Plan and conduct building repairs including outdoor lighting, doors, drywall, ceiling tiles, insulation, piping, plumbing, and repairs.
- Perform facility preventative maintenance programs as directed.
- Plan and perform all facilities build-outs, including framing, drywall, concrete work, flooring, ceiling installation, paneling, roof repairs, electrical wiring, and inspections.
- Perform building maintenance and troubleshooting to meet or exceed plant and departmental goals, ensuring tasks are completed safely and in compliance with GMP and quality standards.
- Comply with all standard operating procedures and CCR Quality System requirements.
- Manage contractor activities and track needs as directed by management.
- Complete lift training courses and operate forklifts and reach trucks safely.
- Collaborate with maintenance personnel and vendors, generate purchase requisitions, and utilize CMMS to track work.
- Troubleshoot and maintain production lines and equipment.
Qualification & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; associates or technical degree preferred.
- Ability to pass Maintenance Technician test at level 1.
- 3-5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.
- Knowledge of PLC, mechanical, electrical, lubrication, fabrication, pneumatic, and hydraulics.
- Own hand tools required.
- Welding experience and ability to interpret blueprints preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and experience operating industrial equipment such as forklifts.
- Ability to understand SDS and maintenance documentation.
- Proficiency with computer software like Maximo CMMS.
- Certifications: CARO and CIRO through RETA, to be obtained within six months of start.
- Ability to work various shifts including overtime and extended hours.
