Use your maintenance and facilities skills to make a difference and be a part of a caring community. This position is ideal for a mid-level professional with specialized expertise in facilities maintenance who enjoys applying their skills in a team-based, mission-focused environment.
The Maintenance Technician II is part of the facilities department and reports to the Maintenance Manager. The goal of the maintenance team is to ensure safe and welcoming campuses for Skyland Trail staff, clients, and visitors. The Maintenance Tech II assists with the maintenance of buildings, grounds, building-related systems, and environmental services by applying hands-on skills or collaborating with specialized contractors.
Examples include preventive maintenance, plumbing, minor equipment repairs, room temperature adjustments, minor structural repairs, filter and light bulb changes, receptacle and circuit breaker repairs, and ceiling tile replacements. The Tech is on call every other week evenings for urgent maintenance outside of business hours.

Clients voluntarily enter treatment, engaging with their families. The campuses feature gardens, private rooms, and common areas designed to foster healing. Our philosophy emphasizes client recovery.
As a nonprofit organization with about 180 employees across five Atlanta campuses, we foster collaboration, diversity, inclusion, and cultural equity. Every employee contributes to our clients’ healing and recovery.
We are committed to health and safety: Skyland Trail is a nicotine-free campus, requires full COVID-19 vaccination plus a booster, and annual flu shots.
