Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to supervise staff and coordinate with teachers and patrons.
• Knowledge of maintenance practices for school facilities and energy conservation.
• Criminal background check must be completed.

Responsibilities

• Have thorough knowledge of heating, ventilation, sanitation, and care of school buildings.
• Know tools, materials, and methods used in maintenance work.
• Understand the operation of mechanical equipment in school facilities.
• Supervise staff in housekeeping and maintenance tasks.
• Promote energy conservation and efficiency in daily operations.
• Repair/replace doors, windows, locks, shades, and related hardware.
• Maintain and repair fire-fighting equipment, fixtures, and furnishings.
• Complete time sheets and forms as required by the Maintenance Supervisor.
