Job summary

Montgomery College is seeking an Operations and Maintenance Supervisor in the Facilities Department. The role oversees HVAC systems and related equipment, with a 6:30am–3:00pm Monday–Friday schedule, and requires leadership of maintenance staff.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, 7 years in facilities maintenance including 2 years in supervision, appropriate trade licenses, and a valid driver’s license. Open until filled.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 7 years in facilities maintenance, including 2 years in a supervisory role.
• HVAC, Electrical or Plumbing Master License or Maryland Stationary Engineer 2nd grade license.
• Driver's license required.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, certification or experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to facilities maintenance staff.
• Oversee routine maintenance and repair of central HVAC systems and related equipment.
• Manage safety practices, energy management programs and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate staff schedules, training, evaluations and recruitment efforts.
