Sunrise Senior Living in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support daily repairs and preventative facility maintenance across the community. You will perform basic repairs, assist with painting, HVAC support, safety checks, and respond to work orders.

The role emphasizes safety, compliance, and reliable operations, with pay range 18.65 to 23.45 per hour and a benefits package including health coverage, retirement plans, and PTO.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance tasks and work orders
• Perform basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, appliances, fixtures)
• Assist with painting and refurbishing projects
• Support HVAC, water, and mechanical system maintenance
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks
• Maintain tools, equipment, and repair inventory
• Support carpet and floor care as needed
• Assist with suite "make-ready" preparation
• Follow OSHA, fire safety, and infection control standards
• Participate in emergency preparedness and fire drills
• Drive community vehicle as assigned
• You play a key role in safety, compliance, and day-to-day building operations.
